We are highlighting one of our recent graduates, Matthew Tao, who left Dilworth School in 2021. Matthew is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science, at the University of Auckland.
During his time at Dilworth, Matthew developed a passion for computer science, drawn to the field's ability to provide knowledge to solve complex problems. He is particularly interested in front-end development, viewing it as a powerful tool for problem-solving, emotional expression, and knowledge sharing.
Matthew's aspirations extend beyond personal success; he dreams of opening his own Digital Agency one day, where he can leverage his skills to create innovative solutions for businesses and individuals.
Matthew received an Ella Burford award at Founders’ Day this year. Receiving this award holds great significance for Matthew, as it will help alleviate financial pressures, allowing him to focus on his studies and personal development. This support gives him the freedom to dream big and work towards his goals without feeling rushed into immediate employment.
We are proud to see Matthew pursue his passion and ambition in the field of computer science. His dedication and determination serve as an inspiration to current and future Dilworth students, showcasing the endless possibilities that lie ahead with hard work and perseverance. We wish Matthew all the best in his academic and professional endeavours and look forward to seeing his future achievements.
